The Str8™ Benefits
With Str8™ , your smile is gradually straightened using a series of custom, clear plastic aligners. Str8 clear aligners fit discreetly over your teeth, and most of the time, other people won't even notice you are wearing them. They are also removable, offering a convenient orthodontic option for busy adults and teens who want a straighter smile while staying active in everyday life. As long as the aligners are worn for 20 to 22 hours each day, patients can remove them to eat, brush, floss, and more!
A Customized Approach
Using advanced computer imaging technology, your orthodontist will take x-rays, pictures and impressions of your teeth, which will be used to create a digital 3D image of your mouth. Based on these images, your orthodontist will map out a Str8™ treatment plan created just for you based on your unique needs.
Open Source Scan
We make it easy. We accept all scans. Send our Technical Centre a scan or PVS impression, and we’ll take it from there to create a virtual treatment plan. Once you approve it through our Str8™ View software, our fabrication facility manufacturers the custom Str8™ clear aligners for your patient.
Zendura FLX
Other plastic aligners offer some strength, but less elasticity. That's why Str8™ uses Zendura FLX™, the highest-calibre biocompatible plastic available in the world. The Str8™ clear custom plastic aligners have an elastomeric middle layer that provides stronger tooth-moving forces over time than possible with standard thermoplastics. Completely clear, resistant to cracks and stains, they're also more comfortable to wear at first compared to other leading brands, which you will appreciate. Zendura FLX™, the highest-calibre biocompatible plastic available in the world.
Trimming Line
In order to maintain an aesthetic orthodontic approach when fitting aligners, an optional finish-line or trimming style should be applied.
- The correct finish-line to the aligner results in both an improved engagement of the teeth and improved retention of the aligner.
- The optimal finish-line reduces the number of attachments required on the teeth in order to hold the aligner in place.
- Str8™ Aligners adopts a relatively straight finish line, allowing for greater retention of the aligner compared, for example, to a scalloped trim.
